artist statement:

I created this piece as an attempt to put my abstract summer experience on paper. My piece is similar to the “finding calm inside the storm” notion, with each element hiding depth. The hands reaching out signify the abundance of responsibility I was given whilst trying to enjoy my summer simultaneously. Additionally, the color of the wisteria plant is often associated with creativity, which filled the majority of my time at home. My goal was to fit these puzzle pieces together in a harmonized manner to create a visual sense of tranquility.
