artist statement:

This artwork is to show the stress I face. Along with the pandemic I had lost the will to text and keep up with my friends. As I had gone online during the school year so I wasn't able to see anyone other than my family. Worse came to worse when my parents had fought a few days after my birthday and my dad had moved out. I had lost one other person to hang out with and felt so alone. The stress was overwhelming and I felt tired all the time and like I was melting. The colors are muted to show how drained I had felt like the color was drained from my body. The solid black background was to show the isolation and loneliness I had felt like there was no one and nothing around me and all I had was myself.
