ever changing

artist statement:

This piece looks to convey the message of how changing throughout ones life is a significant part of what makes someone who they are.  In black and white are images that are staples in my childhood: my past self, my family, and my nationality.  In color are things that I chose to represent myself and key aspects as to what makes myself me: my love for travel, sneakers, and butterflies.  By juxtaposing people, places, and things that hold extreme value of my past and present self behind my self portrait, it shows the evolution of who I am, what I’m founded upon, and what I’ve discovered within myself throughout my life.
