“hippie baked bakery” brand identity

A bakery and café located in Boston, MA, was in search of brand and identity design. What made this bakery unique from others in Boston was that it offered clients the ‘infused experience’; baked goods and café drinks could be infused with THC oil and butter.

With this extra income from the ‘infused’ goods, the bakery pledges to be environmentally and socially conscious. Eliminating the single-use plastic and replacing it with reusable or compostable materials is one way in which the company strives to be eco-friendly.  

Socially, the bakery promotes their initiative to donate all un-infused baked goods at the end of the day to local Boston foster homes and homeless shelters.  This not only cuts food waste to almost nothing, but it allows folks to have access to food.

The 1960s was well known for its cannabis-use, majorly from ‘hippie’ culture.  Hippies were peace-loving, bright-colored, weed-smoking people that a lot of brands now use to promote the legalization of cannabis and to promote their THC/CBD products.  

Taking reference towards the 60s, their style, colors, and attitude, I designed Hippie Baked: Eat Good, Feel Good. The name and slogan refer to both the idea that the food is baked, and how one will be after eating or drinking the company’s ‘infused’ products.
