“5 before 25” travel book design

A large portion of the travel market is people in their mid-20s. Either fresh out of college, or looking to get away from their town, they seek to explore the world without breaking the bank. However, there is no clear booklet or easy way in which this mass of people can attain helpful information.

5 Before 25 is a set of books that contains information on cities that I believe you should travel to before you reach 25. Filled with information on where to go, helpful vocabulary, and how to spot tourist traps, the books aim to provide the mid-20s with a plan on how to visit these places without spending thousands of dollars.

The creativity in this design is that it can be both bought as a set or as a collection. If bought singularly, the design stands strong and will catch the consumer's eye as up-to-times and easy to understand. What makes it stand as a collection, though, is the strip of color at the bottom, hinting towards the colors of the 4 other books in the ‘collection.’

The design is sleek and minimalistic. The bright soft colors catch the eye, while the simple line drawings and handwriting script create a homemade and inviting look.
