artist statement:

Life is a rollercoaster of emotions, with ebbs and flows of both happiness and sadness.  Grabbing inspiration from Surrealism, I created a self-portrait.  After drawing, I used not only my own emotions, but color theory, to paint my work.  These colors are to reflect the satisfaction and dejection of life, and how their mixture is what life is built upon.
