artist statement:

This piece explores the idea of self-reflection and what you perceive when you look in the mirror. It shows that how you see yourself is different from how others see you. This piece is to make the viewer reflect on themselves, by using the drawing as a mirror. I wanted to create an eerie, ominous feeling by using a shadowed figure as the reflection. Using overlapping tiny cracks of a mirror, I created a strong three-dimensional effect that catches the viewer's eye from across the room and draws you in.
